Scholarship available for those considering education

A scholarship is available for a female graduating from a local high school. She must be accepted to attend Fitchburg State College, Fitchburg and be majoring in education. The Rena Rogers scholarship is sponsored by a local women’s sorority named Gamma Theta that is part of the international sorority, Beta Sigma Phi. The applicants should submit their senior essay with the application. Information should include any awards or achievements, academic or otherwise. Applicant should also tell of their interests, hobbies, and of course their ambitions and goals in life. In the past, this scholarship has been awarded to students from Oakmont, Leominster and Lunenburg high schools. Forms are available in the high schools guidance department/college scholarships or at request by e-mailing rrscholarship@hotmail.com. Forms are available starting March 1, and the application deadline is April 15.
